About Flamingo Bay Water Lodge

  • Close Panel

Flamingo Bay Water Lodge is located on the coast with some of the most spectacular coral reefs in the world and offers relaxation and confort for guests. Flamingo Bay Water Lodge is built half on an island and half in the water, making a stay here a unique experience. Note that this lodge is not on the beach on the open ocean but in a tidal bay, so the tidal water movements are the same as the sea.

There are 20 spacious, air conditioned, luxury water chalets all with private balcony with loungers where guests can enjoy beautiful views of the ocean with sliding doorways. All rooms have ensuite showers and toilets. Each chalet is connected to the main building by a wooden walkway and has its own steps down into the ocean. Sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling and boating can be done directly from each chalet.

Activities available to guests include snorkelling, diving, boat trips, fishing and horse riding. Some activities (such as the fishing, riding and excursions) are operated from a neighbourigng lodge.

Lodge facilities at Flamingo Bay include a restaurant which overlooks Inhambane Bay, a bar, lounge and pool. Note that the main lodge is 1km from the rooms and guests can be transfered by golf carts. Meals may be served al fresco on the pool terrace or in the elegant restaurant. The bar overlooks the pool and is a great place to watch the sun set.

Pricing guidelines for Mozambique

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £900 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Return flights from Joburg to Pemba (in northern Mozambique) will add on roughly £400. Mozambique combines well with South Africa, Malawi and southern Tanzania.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
