Toubkal Trek

During this memorable trek in the High Atlas mountains, you start from Aremd, a small Berber village near Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in Morocco. From here you tackle the 3 day trek to the summit and back.

Is it for you?

This is a reasonably challenging trip, particularly due to the altitude. You need only carry a small backpack with your requirements for the day. You need to be comfortable with camping, and staying in basic guest houses with few facilities.

Best time

Mount Toubkal is snowcapped during the winter months when ice and snow climbing equipment and experience are required and we do not organise treks at this time of year. The trek can be taken from April to October.

Getting there

There are several no-frills airlines flying direct from London to Marrakech, including Easyjet, Ryanair and Atlas Blue, with flight prices starting from as little as £100 per person.

Pricing guidelines for Morocco

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £200 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). We offer flights with Royal Air Maroc which has daily flights to Marrakech as well as good connections to other cities.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
