Itinerary
- Day 1:
Arrive in Marrakech. Transfer to your riad.
- Day 2:
Morning guided tour of Marrakech. Riad. (B)
- Day 3:
Drive over the High Atlas mountains, past Ouarzazate and on to Skoura Oasis. Overnight in a kasbah. (B,D)
- Day 4:
Visit the Dades Gorge. Kasbah. (B,D)
- Day 5:
Drive to Zagora on the edge of the desert. Hotel. (B,D)
- Day 6:
Free morning. Late afternoon into the desert to camp. (B,D)
- Day 7:
Visit Tinfou and Tamegroute, then drive to Skoura Oasis. Kasbah. (B,D)
- Day 8:
Drive back to Marrakech via Ait Benhaddou and Telouet in a 4 x 4 vehicle. Riad. (B)
- Day 9:
Transfer to airport for flight home. (B)

Is it for you?
This is an easy trip,but you need to be comfortable with camping, and in summer it can be very hot.
Best times to go
Can be taken all year, but July & August are very hot, and in mid-winter some roads can be blocked with snow.

Getting there
Royal Air Maroc and British Airways fly daily from London to Morocco, with most flights stopping in Casabalanca en-route to Marrakech, Fez or Ouarzazate. The flying time is around 4½ hours, with most flights leaving the UK in the afternoon to arrive late at night. The return flights normally depart in the mid-morning, arriving back into the UK around mid-afternoon. Prices start from under £300 in low season.
