Riad Slitine once belonged to a prominent local family, and still retains much of its original architecture, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. The original decor has been nicely complemented with additional contemporary design features.

The riad comprises just 8 elegant double rooms, which makes for a wonderfully intimate feel. Each room also has an en-suite bathroom, decked in marbled or gilded trim.

Other features in the riad include: 2 sunny courtyards, a heated pool (with marble-fountain and counter-current facility), jacuzzi, hammam, spa treatment rooms, dining room, spacious lounge and an excellent terrace, with viewing-tower and sun-deck.

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £200 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). We offer flights with Royal Air Maroc which has daily flights to Marrakech as well as good connections to other cities.

If views are important for your holiday, make sure your riad of choice in Marrakech is the Spanish owned Riad Slitine. Their huge sprawling roof terrace offers fantastic panoramas of Marrakech's medina, aswell as Koutoubia Mosque towering above the city. Their locations' not bad either, just a five minute walk from Djemma el Fna, the main square of Marrakech.

Elegance is everything at Slitine. Their pool area is wonderful; you can dine under the stars at the side of the pool, sitting undernneath orange trees and enjoy one of the best tajine's in Marrakech. Just watch out for some dodgy room decor, bright pink and bright purple dont really work well together.
