One of the few Moroccan-owned riads in Marrakesh, Riad Mehdi is a delight. One of its courtyard walls is the city wall, and on entering you are met with welcoming ochre-coloured buildings and a swimming pool.
It is close to the Saadian tombs and Royal Palace, and not too far away from the Djemmaa el Fna. It has 9 beautifully decorated rooms with air-con/heating. It also has an excellent spa with a hammam and various treatments available such as massage. It’s a gem.
