About Palais Sebban

  • Close Panel

Palais Sebban is a beautiful riad in Marrakesh which has been carefully restored over the course of 4 years, down to the finest detail, and utilising many of the original features. The result is a riad of stunning grandeur.

There are 5 separate courtyards of varying size, a beautifully ornate swimming pool, spa, hammam and massage facilities, and a large roof-terrace offering views of Koutoubia mosque in one direction, or the Atlas Mountains in the other. A maze of connecting hallways offer many small seated areas located in alcoves -perfect for tranquil relaxation.

There are 15 generously sized rooms and suites, some with pool view and private terrace. All rooms have been individually designed, combining traditional Moroccan features with mod-cons such as air-conditioning, safes, mini-bars, hairdryers and heating. The staff offer a high level of service, and the property retains a warm, family-run atmosphere.

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £200 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). We offer flights with Royal Air Maroc which has daily flights to Marrakech as well as good connections to other cities.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.

  • Example tripPrice per person
  • 9 day holiday including the desertBetween £1500 and £2000
  • 2 weeks holiday taking in various sites in Morocco, using good accommodationBetween £1500 and £2500
  • 5 day short break (one destination)From about £500+
  • 1 week trekking holiday (eg Toubkal trek)Between £600 and £800

I grew to love the fascinating alleys and passages of the medina, I also instantly warmed to this fantastic and very unusual riad. Firstly, it is wonderfully, over-the-top, traditional. It has gorgeous little nooks and niches everywhere, a lovely reading room with lots of books and games, even Scrabble! Every piece of furniture looks like an antique, as if they all have their own little story. It really does feel like an old Moroccan Palace, overrun by wonderful creeping vines engulfing the walls.

Riads are great places to stay in Marrakech, but most are quite small and cramped, with swimming pools squeezed into small courtyards. Not the Palais Sebban. Its' two main areas are over 200 years old, but the newly developed part offers a huge courtyard, with a seperate pool and sitting areas, and an outdoor dining room. With a giant roof terrace, this is a great option for those wanting a bit more space, a hard thing to find in Marrakech.
