About La Sultana

  • Close Panel

Located next door to the Saadian Tombs and just ten minutes walk from the centre of Marrakech, La Sultana is a member of the “Great Hotels of the World” group and provides a luxurious retreat within the walled city.

La Sultana is a luxury boutique hotel. It is a traditonal Moroccan riad with the guest rooms and suites built aroud four central courtyards. Each of the 28 rooms is indivdual in decor. All have an ensuite marble bathroom with bath and shower. Although traditional in design, the rooms boast modern amenities such as TV, DVD and CD players, air conditioning, telephone and internet access. The rooms also have a complimentary non-alcoholic minibar.

The largest courtyard houses a swimming pool, while the extensive roof terrace provides many hidden nooks where guests can relax and enjoy the views. Meals can be taken on these terraces in the open air, around the pool or in the courtyards. The restaurant is open for dinner each evening. The lounge bar provides a range of drinks and tapas.

The Prestige Spa
La Sultana offers an extremely well equipped spa, in an atmospheric setting under vaulted arches. It has 2 hammams - the Moroccan hammam combines steam baths, massage and waterbaths for a refreshing experience. Other spa facilities include a marble jacuzzi, solarium, sauna, special showers with directional jets and steam baths. There is also a beauty centre and hairdresser. Guests can relax in the lounge over a glass of mint tea before, after and between treatments. A wide range of treatments is offered in this relaxing setting, including body wraps, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, masssages and seaweed treatments. There are also special treatments for men. The spa uses natural oils and botanical extracts. The beauty centre provides facials, manicures and pedicures.

The staff at La Sultana are very friendly, and speak good English.

Pricing guidelines for Morocco

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £200 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). We offer flights with Royal Air Maroc which has daily flights to Marrakech as well as good connections to other cities.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
