About La Roseraie

  • Close Panel

La Roseraie is located in the foothills of the High Atlas, at an altitude of 1,000 metres, where the air is pure and refreshing and the climate cool in summer and mild in winter. Accommodation is in 44 rooms and suites scattered throughout the 60 acres of gardens. All rooms are decorated in traditional Moroccan style with wooden furniture, colourful textiles, cushions and rugs. The various suites are spacious and opulent. All rooms are equipped with TV, phone, minibar and ensuite bathroom. Each has a private terrace leading out to the gardens, which are undoubtedly a highlight of this hotel. The extensive grounds are replete with trees, flowers, ponds and lawns. There are dozens of rosebushes, citrus and mimosa trees and ancient olive trees. There are many birds here including nightingales, bulbuls and blackbirds. The Domaine de la Roseraie also includes parkland and farmland, all waiting to be explored.

Activities include walking on some of the many trails. The hotel offers a range of guided walks in the neighbourhood, usually visiting a local village for lunch before heading back to La Roseraie in the afternoon. The paths go through varied terrain, through forests and citrus groves, past streams and wild flowers, giving a true sense of the berber countryside. The hotel has its own riding stables housing their Arab horses and guided rides are another popular way to explore the area. Visits to the local village of Ouirgane with its lively souks can also be arranged. More activities are offered at the Eco Adventure Park, where zip wires, camel riding and archery are among the attractions. Alternatively guests can enjoy the peaceful ambience of La Roseraie, strolling in the gardens, admiring views of the mighty Toubkal mountain range and enjoying meals by the main swimming pool.

Meals are a blend of French and Moroccan cuisines, using fresh seasonal produce, much of which is grown on the Domaine. Fruits abound and include peaches, plums, figs and pineapples. Breakfast and lunch can be enjoyed outdoors in te fresh air on the terrace, or indoors in the rustic style dining room or cosy Moroccan lounge.

Additional facilities include 2 further outdoor pools and 1 heated indoor pool, 2 tennis courts, a jacuzzi and a hydrotherapy centre, all just a 90 minute drive from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.

Pricing guidelines for Morocco

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £200 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). We offer flights with Royal Air Maroc which has daily flights to Marrakech as well as good connections to other cities.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
