About Kasbah Agounsane

  • Close Panel

Only 30 minutes from Marrakech, the Kasbah Agounsane is a great place for guests to relax and enjoy this wonderful location. Set in the Ourika Valley facing the Atlas Mountains, there are stunning views and wonderful sunsets. Guests are encouraged to explore the local region and also to indulge in spa treatments or simply relax in the kasbah's lush gardens.

There are 9 rooms and suites decorated in different colour schemes. The decor is Berber inspired and natural materials such as wood, metal and stucco have been used throughout to create an authentic atmosphere. All rooms are spacious, air conditioned and have modern ensuite bathrooms. Most also have their own private terrace, overlooking the gardens.

For those seeking relaxation, there are deck chairs, sunloungers, hammocks and covered day beds in the gardens and around the swimming pool, where guests can also enjoy drinks from the bar. Palm trees and olive trees provide welcome shade from the heat of the sun. The well equipped spa offers a range of treatments such as massages and facials and there is also a sauna and a traditional Moroccan hammam on site.

Guests can explore the nearby Atlas foothills in 4 wheel drive vehicles or on mountain bikes. Horse riding, hiking, fishing and skiing (seasonal) are also popular pasttimes. The Ourika Valley is a beautful area and has 7 waterfalls, rivers and Berber villages for guests to visit. Rafting and canyoning can be organised. Further afield lakes and mountains can be visited. Excursions can also be arranged to local towns including Essaouira with its beaches and water sports.

The restaurant serves both local and international cuisine and uses produce from its own organic vegetable garden. Meals are delicious and the restaurant is included in Morocco's 'Good Restaurant Guide'. There is a separate bar, serving a range of soft and alcoholic drinks, including cocktails. The inviting lounge with its comfortable chairs and sofas is a good place to relax and chat to fellow guests.

Pricing guidelines for Morocco

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £200 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). We offer flights with Royal Air Maroc which has daily flights to Marrakech as well as good connections to other cities.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
