Meaning '‘House of Storks'', the Dar Les Cigognes is located next to the Royal Palace. It is a Marrakesh riad which oozes tranquillity.
The original 17th Century exterior walls remain intact, whilst the interior has been painstakingly re-decorated by its owners. They have used traditional techniques, following designs drawn up by one of Morocco''s top architects, -Charles Boccara.
The result is a hotel with delightfully different rooms: the Harem Room is draped in rich red velvet, the Berber Room is peppered with Berber crafts and accessories, while the Casablanca Room is Art Deco.
There are 10 rooms, 2 courtyards, a dining room, a fantastic rooftop terrace, traditional hammam, beauty spa, and library.
