Pricing guidelines for Mauritius

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £900 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Mauritius combines well with South Africa.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

Formerly (at the time of visit) Shanti Ananda, this WAS a superb yoga and wellness retreat.  The beach isn't huge and it's not the best on the island being on the south coast, but it's spotless and the huge pool area in front of the main building is amazing!  They provided 'pyjamas' to wander around in so everyone feels the same and relaxed .... however, this has now changed I believe as it's been re-branded into a more main stream hotel.  So I can't comment what it's like now except to say that the though of noisy children splashing in the pool would ruin my visit to any 'calming' spa / meditation centre! The food here was also amongst the most expensive on the island. Our evening meal came to nearly £100 and it was nothing great.
