It specialises in Mediterranean cuisine with Mauritian influences. As well as the idoor dining area there is a terrace for al fresco meals. Gin'ja produces Japanese and Asian cuisine, using local fresh fish and seafood. It is set at the edge of the lagoon and candelit dinners can be taken on the open deck. Pricing guidelines for Mauritius

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £900 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Mauritius combines well with South Africa.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

This is not my choice of hotel as it's very resorty!  However, the room was massive and very comfortable, the bathroom unbelievably luxurious.  The piano bar at night had a great feel to it. We stayed here as a last minute thing due to changed arrangements elsewhere and they handled us well.  However, the food is ridiculously priced so if you are on a BB or HB package beware as you can spend more than the room price on food and drink!  Lunch at the pool bar on the beach cost us about £50 (for a pizza and glass of wine!) and dinner in the restaurant even more.  Though the food was of a very good standard.  What made this place outstanding for me was the service from the staff.  We had a problem with a missed connection in the morning and they went out of their way to help us.  They do have a lot of British visitors, so it's a nice place if you want a colonial style hotel.
