Cotton Bay Hotel is an atrractive hotel on the northeast coast of Rodrigues, on Point Coton, one of the finest beaches on the island. The setting is peaceful and secluded. This is a perfect place to 'get away from it all'.
Accommodation is in 40 beach bungalows (superior, deluxe and 2 suites), all with private balcony or terrace with ocean views. The rooms are air conditioned and also have ceiling fans. Modern amenities include satellite TV, 'phone, music system and minibar. All have an ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet. The deluxe rooms and suites have a separate shower and bath. The two suites are in seperate bungalows at the far end away from the main hotel complex.
During the day guests can relax in the hotel grounds, take a dip in the swimming pool or the sea, stroll along the coast or hike in the hills near the hotel. There are many watersports available, some of which need to be paid for locally, including snorkelling, windsurfing, kayaking in the lagoon and kitesurfing. The hotel has a dive centre and the dive master can take parties out to the reefs. Please note the dive centre is closed in July and August. Other activities are tennis, beach volleyball, table tennis and horse riding. There is also a games room. The hotel has a Mini-Club with organised activities for children. Guests can hire cars and explore other parts of the island.
The restaurant serves a deleicious buffet breakfast each morning. Dinner is either a 3-course meal or generous buffet. Meals are based on local fresh seafood, steaks and Rodriguan Creole cuisine, with international dishes also available. The open air lounge looks out over the lagoon and is a perfect place to enjoy cocktails before or after dinner. There is sometimes evening entertainment in the form of the local Sega dancing on the beach.
