Black River Gorges National Park
Black River Gorges National Park in Mauritius is a tiny but very diverse park which protects many highly endangered species.
Port Louis and the North
Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius is on the North West coast and vibrant mix of markets, business and history. The North coast has fine beaches with a good range of accommodation and is popular for water sports.
Rodrigues Island
A remote charming island with a leisurely pace of life. Far from the noisy resorts, this is a place to get to know the locals and enjoy the wild side of the Indian Ocean!
South and South East Mauritius
The South coast of Mauritius has a different landscape to the rest of the country with high cliffs and dramatic vistas across the ocean as the waves pound into the land. Inland are beautiful forests and hills, protecting some of the islands last remaining indigenous forests and endangered birds.
The Eastern Region
The East coast of Mauritius offers beautiful coves and clear lagoons which receive a cooling sea breeze. There are trekking trails inland and nature sanctuaries, interesting museums, shopping at Flaq market and visits to tiny out lying islands.
West and South West
Known as the 'sunset coast' the West of Mauritius is a haven for nature and sports lovers. Deep sea fishing surfing and kite surfing are popular here.
