About Ti Villaz

  • Close Panel

The rooms at Ti Villaz are set above Le Vieux Grand Port in Mahebourg and in the lush green forest of le Domaine dAnse Jonchee. This is a beautiful, unspoilt are and the owners work alongside the Mauritian Wildlfe Foundation to ensure the preservation of native species such as the Mauritian Kestrel. This is a nature lovers paradise. Explore the 400 hectares of grounds and search for wildlfe. Birdlife is prolific here and you will also see bats, Java deer and wild boar. There are 4 walking trails of varying degrees of difficulty, suited to gentle strolls or more strenuous hikes, as you wish. This is a side of Mauriitius most visitors do not get to see.

Guests are able to visit the ylang ylang distillery to learn about the production of essential oils. There is a small shop selling candles, bath oils, massage oils and essences, a fitting souvenir of your visit. Other nearby attractions include the nature reserve on Ile aux Aigrettes, Mahebourg craft market, Blue Bay Marine Park and catamaran cruises.

There are seven rooms in the gardens, simply but comfortably furnished. They are equipped with ceiling fans and mozquito nets and have terraces with superb forest and ocean views. There are tea and coffee making facilities and a minbar in each lodge. For those who wish, massages can be arranged in the privacy of your room. This is a peaceful location, well away from the crowds, ideal for those who want to experience the beauty of inland Mauritius.

Meals are served in the Panoramour Restaurant, some 300 metres abovce sea level, where guests can enjoy delicious local cuisine while admiring the views of the forest and lagoon below. Breakfast can be either a light continental meal or a full English cooked affair. A la carte lunches of seafood and salads are popular, and dinner is generally a 3 course meal. Specialities include curries, venison and roast wild boar.

Pricing guidelines for Mauritius

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £900 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Mauritius combines well with South Africa.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
