About Preskil Beach Resort

  • Close Panel

Le Preskil Beach Resort is located on a private peninsula on the south-east coast of Mauritius at Pointe Jerome, near the historical village of Mahebourg just 15 minutes drive from the airport.

With its lush tropical gardens and sandy beach this hotel invites you to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The hotel borders a natural lagoon which leads to Blue Bay Marine Park and is across the water from the Iles aux Aigrettes.

Guest accommodation comprises lagoon rooms with showers (114), prestige rooms with baths (28) and deluxe penthouses (14). All have private balcony or terrace with sea views. Some of the lagoon rooms are set further back in the trees and have partial sea views. The Prestige rooms and Penthouses are located in detached cottages on the beach front with there being two Prestige rooms on the ground floor and one Penthouse above it alone on the first floor. There are 14 of these buildings either side of the main hotel complex.

Room facilities include air conditioning, TV, phone, internet access, safe and tea and coffee making equipment. There is 24 hour room service.

Watersports are popular and guests can go waterskiing, windsurfing, snorkelling, canoeing and sailing all free of charge. Other activities such as diving, catamaran cruises, sailing boat cruises and cycling are available at an extra charge. Excursions to different parts of the island can also be arranged. The hotel has 2 swimming pools, one with whirlpools and a children's pool. There is a wellness centre and spa offering a range of treatments including massage. There is also a gym for the fitness enthusiasts. Tennis, beach volleyball and table tennis are all available for guests. There is a kid's club for 3 to 12 year olds. The boutique sells souvenirs, handicrafts, clothes, magazines and postcards.

A choice of restaurants provides a variety of cuisines. The main restaurant, 'Spices' offers both local specialities and international fare, while African-inspired a la carte dining is available in the Charka Steak House and Bar. The more casual beachfront bar offers snack lunches and tapas on a wooden deck with views out over the ocean. The Indigo Bar is a lively meeting place and ideal for cocktails and sundowners.

Pricing guidelines for Mauritius

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £900 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Mauritius combines well with South Africa.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

  £50 to £100

  £100 to £200

  £200 to £300

We almost were not allowed into see this hotel as they were fully booked at the time, but I'm glad we insisted and got our way in!  Although it's large (nearly 200 rooms) it doesn't feel that big as the beach is spread out, there are two pools, various restaurants and the rooms are quite big.  The staff here are superb.  To make up for not being able to have us stay overnight they treated us to a massage and a day out on their catamaran!  Superb. Lovely people, lovely hotel.  I'd recommend this to anyone, be it families or couples and if you do want to explore a bit in the local area, Mahebourg is a short walk away with a choice of restaurants, local markets and museums.
