About Maradiva Villas

  • Close Panel

Maradiva Villas is set in 27 acres of lush gardens with views across Tamarin Bay and inland views of the mountains. The west coast is known for its dramatic sunsets, which can be enjoyed here whilst sipping a sundowner. The hotel has a private beach, where palm trees provide shade from the heat of the sun. Guests are assured of attentive service and each suite has a butler to attend to guests' needs and wishes.

The 65 luxury suite villas are spacious and make the perfect home from home. All have an al fresco dining and relaxation area, complete with a plunge pool. The villas have plasma screen TVs, internet access, safe, ceiling fan and walk in wardrobe. The contemporary bathrooms have marble floors and bathtub with separate shower and twin hand basins. Large windows in each room show views of the private garden and dining area, which also has comfy chairs, sun loungers, expresso machine, bar and radio and CD player. The villas have direct beach access and 24 hour butler service. Bathrobes, slippers, beach towels and bottled water are provided free to all guests. The larger exclusive villas have similar facilities plus a separate indoor living area. The Presidential villa has two bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom plus a separate living room, so is ideal for families or groups.

Maradiva offers a full range of complimentary watersports, including kayaks, glass bottom boat rides, pedalos, waterskiing, snorkelling, windsurfing and laser sailing. Other options available at extra cost are speed boat trips, deep sea fishing and catamaran cruises. Away from the beach activities include tennis, table tennis, yoga and golf with the Tamarina Estate course just 15 minutes away. Other options include beach volleyball, bicycle hire and the gym. The hotel can also arrange a variety of local excursions. Of course, there is always the option to relax on the beach or by the infinity pool and enjoy the tranquility of the location.

Guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. Coast2Coast is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all of which are served a la carte. It provides Mediterranean, Mauritian and international cuisine, served indoors or outside on the terrace with splendid views of the ocean. Open for dinner, The Cilantro specialises in Pan Asian and regional Indian dishes. The interactive live cooking Teppanyaki counter should not be missed. Breakers Bar is conveniently located next to the beach and pool. It offers light meals and snacks as well as a range of soft and alcoholic drinks and live music in the evenings. Staff are also on hand to serve guests their favourite snacks and drinks at the pool or on the beach. Guests can opt to enjoy a special meal away from the restaurants, maybe by the pool or on the beach or in their privacy of their own villa, at any time of day.

Maradiva Spa

Pricing guidelines for Mauritius

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £900 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Mauritius combines well with South Africa.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

Of all the villa style hotels we visited, I liked Maradiva the most!  Although it's quite big (by UK standards!) the grounds are large and spread out.  The gardens are beautiful and I particularly liked the clean beach and areas of sunloungers, plunge pools and shade doted about the property.  The villas themselves are lovely, more like little houses than hotel rooms!  They do have a big British market so it's a nice option, particularly for honeymooners.
