In the style of a mini village, Les Chalets en Champagne offer stylish accommodation in a beautiful, unspoilt forest setting adjoining a national park near Chamarel in the south of Mauritius. There are spectacular views of the Black River mountains and beyond to the sea.
There are several different style of 2 and 3 bedroomed cottage, all of which provide comfortable air conditioned accommodation and modern amenities such as TV and DVD players. All have kitchen facilities, for those who wish to cater for themelves. Some of the larger cottages also have sundecks, jacuzzis and private gardens.
Exploring the local region is main highlight of a stay here and ranger led hikes take guests into the valleys, mountains and forests, to viewpoints and beauty spots. There are many well-established tracks, including a route to Piton de la Petitie Riviere Noire, the highest point in Mauritius. There are also mountain bike trails to be explored. Excursions to coastal and local villages can be arranged.
