About Le Jardin de Beau Vallon

  • Close Panel

Le Jardin de Beau Vallon is an elegant colonial buildingon the edge of a sugar estate, which now offers attractive accommodation in just three en-suite guest rooms. The luxurious Pavillion is spacious and a perfect romantic retreat. There are also two guest rooms in the main building. Guests are free to explore the gardens or relax by or in the swimming pool.

The guest house is just a 10 minute drive from the airport and close to Mahebourg.

The restaurant is well-known on the island and is open to the public and combines contemporary techniques, local flavours and fresh local produce, including mangos and avocados from the guest house gardens and plentiful seafood. There is formal a la carte dining in the main building or a poolside casual bistro bar, serving snacks such as pizzas and panninis. The bar specialises in exotic cocktails. A range of wines, spirits and beers is also available, as are fruit juices and milkshakes.

Pricing guidelines for Mauritius

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £900 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Mauritius combines well with South Africa.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

  £50 to £100

  £100 to £200

  £200 to £300

We stayed here before flying to Rodrigues as it's close to the airport and the location is nice enough, down a quiet road on the edge of a sugar estate.  However, we tried to order food in the pool bar restaurant as the main house restaurant was closed (it's open to the public and quite a 'foodie' place) but unfortunately, the pizzas we ordered were soggy and not cooked and took ages!  The room was very sweet, a rondavel set up, but it was unbelievably hot and the fan wasn't working properly.  It's OK value for the money, but I'd probably not choose to stay there again.
