Set on Kabula Hill with lovely views in a quiet area of Blantyre is House 5. Although you are centrally placed for exploring the city, it feels as if you are in your own private world! Relaxing gardens surround the house with a swimming pool and verandahs. The house was previously the residence of the American Consulate.
The main house has a gorgeous lounge and dining area off a grand entrance. There are nine guest rooms, three are in the main house, the others in the garden. The main house rooms are large and en-suite with showers. They have fans, tea and coffee facilities, a safe, wifi and TV. There is another large room in the old garage which is the only room with a freestanding bath tub as well as a shower. In the garden are some cottage rooms plus two long stay cottages with kitchen areas.
This guest house operates on bed and breakfast rates but can provide light snacks on request.
The owners (thier families have been in Malawi for five generations), run the nearby Hostaria Italian Restaurant where guests can choose to eat.
