Pricing guidelines for Malawi

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Malawi combines well with Zambia.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

I loved this place!  Makuzi has one of the nicest beaches, it's small but because it sits in a protected cove it's private and calm.  The water was like a warm bath!  The food was superb.  The only thing I would say is that the standard rooms (rondavels) badly need an overhaul, they were dirty and run down.  The executive (new) rooms on the other hand were stunning.  They do know about this and are renovating the rondavels, but my advice would be to make sure you get an executive room.  The walk around the village from here was superb - it was like the pied piper walking past the school, being followed by about 500 children!
