Heuglin's Lodge which is named after the brightly coloured Heuglin's Robin found in the gardens, is run by Wilderness Safaris. It's a lovely big house which has been converted into a guest lodge set in large gardens in the leafy northern suburbs of Lilongwe, Malawi's capital city.
There are six bedrooms, most of which have en-suite bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms can be combined to make a family unit. There is a large lounge with a library, bar, TV and internet access.
Excellent chefs produce plentiful home cooked food from local ingrediants. Attractive, mature gardens with a good size swimming pool and outside verandah add to the comfort factor and relaxed atmosphere.
This is an ideal start or end to a holiday in Malawi and also a perfect base for looking around the capital or can be used as a day room stop over on the way to the airport.
