About Sani Top Chalet

  • Close Panel

Sani Top Chalet offers accommodation at the top of the Sani Pass overlooking the foothills of Natal from the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho. Set right on top of the Sani Pass - a snaking mountainous road only accessible via 4x4.

Sani Top Chalet is home to the highest pub in Africa (2874m above sea level), as well as breathtakingly beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

The Chalet offers comfortable accommodation in a unique adventure stopover. Four detached rondavels with double beds, en-suite bathrooms and fireplaces offer cosy luxury in this chilly climate. In the main building there are also rooms with double beds and bunks and shared ablutions, ideal for families or groups of friends. Enjoy a hearty meal around  glowing fire in the pub.

Take in the panoramic views of Africa and Lesotho.

Pricing guidelines for Lesotho

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). South Africa combines well with Botswana, Mauritius and Mozambique.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
