The Cove Treehouses

The Cove Treehouses located 12kms south of Diani Beach, offer exclusivity and a high level of service in a peaceful setting, making it the perfect escape from a hectic lifestyle. Here there is no noise pollution. The only sound you will hear is the wishwash of the tide, the distant call of a fish eagle and the occasional leaf rustle of a Colobus monkey roaming the baobab trees. Each Treehouse is set against its own intriguing baobab tree and has have an area of around 85 square metres and is set 3 metres above the ground. All of the Treehouses offer sea views. A creative mixture of furnishings results in a distinctly Arabesque and Swahili feel. The air-conditioned bedroom boasts a magnificent four-poster bed and the room offers a fully stocked bar. If you have never seen, less experienced, an 'inside out' bathroom, this is your best opportunity. A secluded spa whirlpool lies in your open wood deck. With its panoramic views, the deck also offers a great area under a thatch in which to relax, as well as a sun tanning and dining area. This is your very own little island of pleasure. All Treehouses are serviced by individual butlers paying attention to your every need.

Community relations form part of the Cove concept. The management aims to preserve the area in as natural a state and setting as possible. Materials used are all local, as are the workers associated in the programme.

During their stay, guests have the opportunity to take part in community activities such as trips in African kayaks or outriggers, guided coral reef walks and guided visits to the local village and mangrove forest system. Other activities offered include a range of watersports, diving and fishing.

There are a variety of rooms and houses here, the Cove Retreat consists of Tree Houses or Forest Villa Suites, both on Kinondo Beach.  They also have a Tree House in Sable Valley in Shimba Hills park and Gazi Retreat which are exclusive air conditioned eco-tents on Gazi Bay about 15 mins drive from th Cove and also Kinondo Retreat which are luxury suites, 20 mins drive from Diani and 5 minutes walk from the beach.
