Shompole

Shompole is located in a 35,000 acre private conservancy overlooking the plains and volcanic hills of the Great Rift Valley to the south of Kenya towards the Tanzanian border.

Each spacious tented room is designed to blend in with the natural landscape, using local materials. Each room has its own sitting areas, bathroom and cool pool, large windows offering views of the local scenery. This is an exclusive development with just 6 rooms and 2 suites. The building is designed as a cool mix of rocks and pools and water is a main feature here.

The main lounge and dining area has a high thatch roof and overlooks Mount Shompole. Meals served here are prepared using the finest fresh ingredients.

Activities offered at Shompole include guided walks in the African bush, day and night game drives, mountain biking, canoeing and visits to Shompole village.

Shompole is not suitable for young children, as it largely open to the envronment and there are many small pools. Children need to be kept under strict parental supervision.
