    About Samburu Intrepids Camp

    • Close Panel

Samburu Intrepids Camp's location deep inside Samburu National Reserve guarantees close encounters with the region's wildlife. Situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River in the arid heart of Samburu National Reserve, Samburu Intrepids looks out over riverbanks where herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra come daily to drink –together with the rarer ‘northern species’ of reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and long-necked gerenuk antelope.

This luxurious tented lodge offers 27 modern tents all with a private view over the wildlife-rich riverbanks. The spacious tents boast the very latest in luxury camping, with four-poster beds, handsome mahogany closets and ensuite bathrooms with hot showers. There is a thatched dining area and separate lounge and bar areas. The camp has a freeform swimming pool with sunbathing garden and a boutique selling souvenirs and safari essentials.

Samburu Intrepids offers guests early morning game drives, walking safaris with skilled Samburu guides, sedate camel rides and raft trips when the river is high. There are also trips to local Samburu villages. The acclaimed Adventurers’ Club offers a uniquely educational safari for children of all ages, under the expert guidance of the Samburu guides.

    Pricing guidelines for Kenya

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £400 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Kenya combines well with Tanzania or Uganda.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
