    About Pinewood Village

    • Close Panel

Pinewood Village is located on Galu Beach 40 km south of Mombasa. It is adjacent to the famous Diani Beach, the hub of tourist activity. Diani is 7 km north of Pinewood and offers all the facilities and amenities of an urban centre like shopping, entertainment, casinos and medical care, but far enough away for Galu Beach to be a bit quieter! Pinewood Village is ideally situated for sea excursions. Nearby Wasini, Kisite, Chale, Funzi and Shimoni are all havens for snorkelling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing and sight-seeing.

The hotel is set amidst tropical flora and palms and offers an ambiance that is supremely tranquil. The accommodation at Pinewood consists of tastefully furnished rooms and private suites. There are 36 deluxe rooms which are on the first floor with garden views and balcony, king size beds, celing fan and split unit air conditioning, tea and coffee, mini bar, internet, telephone, safe available. The 2 executive rooms are also on the first floor but on the sea front.  There are 18 spacious suits on the ground floor with garden views and large berandas, a kictchen with fridge and services of personal chef for dinner, same other facilities as the rooms with air con, fans, tea, coffee, etc.  2 executive suites are also on the ground floor with spectacular sea front views and a living room and large veranda, bath tub in addition to shower.

In-house facilities include attractive swimming pool, swim-up pool bar, several different restaurant choices, a water sport & dive centre, tennis and squash courts and small shops. The watersport centre can arrange scuba diving, kiddy scuba rangers club, deep sea fishing, kite surfing, banana boat and air glider, snorkelling, sea excursions, bike tours, kayaking and wind surfing.

There is a business centre, wi-fi spot and internet, laundry service and a Spa, pay direct for these services.

    Pricing guidelines for Kenya

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £400 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Kenya combines well with Tanzania or Uganda.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
