Fairmont Norfolk Hotel is one of Nairobi's oldest hotels, opened in 1904, and combines old colonial style with modern facilities to ensure a memorable stay. There is a choice of bars and restaurants and other facilities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, a health club and gym, saunas and steam rooms. There is also a hair and beauty salon and a selection of shops. The large courtyard garden in the centre of the hotel complex is a perfect place for guests to relax.

The guest rooms all have ensuite bathrooms. Rooms also have TV and radio, min bars and air conditioning.

The hotel is located a short distance from Nairobi's main shopping and business district and approximately a half hour drive from the international airport.

We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £400 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Kenya combines well with Tanzania or Uganda.
