    About Ngong House

    • Close Panel

Ngong House is a unique experience. It is a private homestay situated in the Karen/Langata area near the Ngong Hills, only a few minutes away from the house where Karen Blixen once had her coffee farm.  Although you will be staying in 'treehouses' you will enjoy a very high degree of luxury. Four poster beds, crisp linen and exquisite, gourmet food are just the beginning. The main house and each treehouse have fully stocked bars.

The evenings start with sundowners on your verandah at tree level, from where you can watch the breathtaking sunsets over the Ngong Hills. Nature lovers can enjoy a large variety of birds feeding from the birdfeeder hanging in front of each treehouse. After sunset, before dinner, drinks will continue with the other guests around the camp fire under an acacia tree nearby the swimming pool.

Ngong House ideally situated to visit many of Nairobi's attractions such as Nairobi National Park, Karen Blixen Museum, and many craft centres. Nature walks are a must, especially to visit the Giraffe Centre (home of the endangered Rothchild Giraffe), a twenty minute walk from Ngong House.

    Pricing guidelines for Kenya

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £400 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Kenya combines well with Tanzania or Uganda.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
