About Entim Mara Camp

  • Close Panel

Entim, meaning 'forest' in Maasai, is hidden away in the riverine woodlands running along the Mara River in the Mara Game Reserve. There are only 7 tented rooms giving the camp a wonderfully quiet and intimate feeling.

Each tent is tastefully but differently furnished with the aim on enhancing the surrounding environment. All tents face the river and have a small verandas where clients can relax and enjoy the view. Each one has en-suite flush toilets, twin hand basins and hot showers, and large, comfortable beds.

The camp has an open-plan lounge and bar area with compfy chairs and a small library. The dining tent is also open allowing guests to ejoy their meals while watching the animals head to the river to drink.

The camp is designed to give guests the feel that it is part of the landscape, combined with hints of luxury. There aren't any paved paths or other permanent structures because the experience at Entim is not your average hotel or lodge experience: it's about being right in the hub of one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world.

Pricing guidelines for Kenya

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £400 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Kenya combines well with Tanzania or Uganda.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

  £50 to £150

  £150 to £300

Another one of my favourite camps in the Mara. It’s not super luxury and doesn’t have 24 hour electricity but offers a rustic bush experience with a home-from-home feeling and is in a fantastic location right on the Mara River. The camp’s staff members were amazing and the location is fantastic. I would happily come back to this camp.
