Aqaba is well known for its beach resorts and luxury hotels, which service those who come for fun in the sand as well as watersports like windsurfing, snorkeling and scuba diving. Most of the town is relatively modern with good hotels and some excellent restaurants, but Aqaba also has a long history so if you are keen on archaeology you can find several hidden sites dotted about the town
