About Movenpick Resort and Spa Dead Sea

  • Close Panel

On the north shore of the Dead Sea, about an hour's drive from Amman and the international airport, the Movenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea provides luxurious accommodation at the lowest point on earth. This is a great place to base yourself to experience the unique sensation of floating in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, and experiencing the wide range of spa facilities on offer here.

Completed in 1999, the Movenpick Dead Sea has a total of 346 rooms and suites, some in the main building with more in low-rise 'villages'. They have been built from local stone and are warmly decorated and feature all the mod-cons you would expect from a 5 star hotel, including air-conditioning, TV, 'phone, minibar, safe and hairdryer. Rooms have views of the sea, mountains or lush tropical gardens from their private balcony or terrace.

There are several swimming pools throughout the resort. As well as enjoying the waters of the Dead Sea and the therapeutic properties of the mud on the hotel's wide private beach, guests can play tennis and beach volleyball. There is also a fitness centre. There is a wide choice of cuisines among the 9 restaurants and bars, which include Italian and Asian specialities. Guests can also enjoy delicious ice cream by the pool and a refreshing sundowner in the Al Khayyam Bar overlooking the Dead Sea.

Zara Spa
This luxury spa covers some 6,000 square metres and has 31 treatment rooms, where guests can enjoy pampering and revitalising treatments, many if which use the healing properties of local products. Treatments are designed to restore, revitalise and rejuvenate and promote the wellbeing of the body and soul. There are 5 pools which feature different mineral concentrations and tropical accent showers. After the treatment guests can relax with a cool drink from the juice bar.

Pricing guidelines for Jordan

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £500 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers).

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
