Bait Zaman occupies the site of a 19th century village near Wadi Musa, whose old houses have been restored and endowed with modern comforts, to provide attractive guest accommodation. Facilities include a restaurant, bar and heated swimming pool. The hotel is just one mile from Petra, so is an ideal base from which to explore the 'rose red city'.
All houses have a bedroom, sitting room and private bathroom with modern fittings. Facilities include television, telephone, minibar and safe deposit box. The rooms and suites are air conditioned and have heating for the cooler months. Among the village features are 2 old olive presses, a courtyard, a Roman aquaduct, vineyards, olive trees and citrus groves.
The main restaurant, Sahtain, is located near the Nabatean stone pool and serves buffet and a la carte meals throughout the day, including authentic Arabic dishes, freshly baked bread and pastries. It has 2 outdoor terraces with views of the mountains. There are 2 bars, offering a wide range of drinks and snacks plus a cafe terrace near the main entrance to the village. Bait Zaman has an indoor heated swimming pool with an outdoor sundeck and poolside bar serving a range of snacks and drinks. There is a souk where guests can buy traditional Jordanian handicrafts and souvenirs.
