About The Bagh

  • Close Panel
The Bagh occupies ten acres of 200 year old gardens and orchards. Originally a ‘charbagh’ or four-part garden, it has been home to one of Bharatpur’s' noblest families for centuries and is today a delightful small ‘heritage hotel’. Various buildings, both new and old, are scattered around the premises and are connected by pretty stone walkways, lined with shrubs and sweet smelling flowers. The gardens are a treat to wander around and are alive with birdsong from the many varieties of birds who have made this haven their ‘home’. Different buildings house different clusters of bedrooms, the bar, the restaurant and a small massage centre by the swimming pool. The spotless and comfortable rooms have a certain simple elegance with colourful yet subtle furnishings which fit with the wooden furniture and stone floors.

Pricing guidelines for India

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £450 to £700 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). India combines well with Nepal.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
