Is it for you?

This is an easy trip that does not require any particular special fitness. You stay in good hotels and jungle lodges and should find there is plenty of time for wildlife viewing. Overnight trains in India add an extra dimension to your trip.

Best times to go

The best time for wildlife is in the hotter months between March and June when animals are using regular watering spots. It can be very hot and if this is a problem for you then you should stick to the cooler months prior to this, when wildlife viewing is still extremely good. At Kanha It is cool from mid-October to the end of February and hot from the middle of April to middle of June. Kanha closes on 30th June for the monsoon season. Corbett is cold from mid-November to the end of February and hot from mid-March to mid-June. From November to March the mornings are extremely cold.
