45 minutes drive from the hill town of Shimla, Wildflower Hall is a fairy-tale luxury resort and spa located in the forested foothills of the Himalayas at an altitude of 2,500 metres (8,350 feet). This was once the summer retreat of Lord Kitchener, and was rebuilt in a grand style after a fire in the 1990s by the Oberoi group as a purpose-built luxury hotel.
Set in 23 acres of virgin forest, each of the 87 rooms offers excellent mountain views. The rooms are all fitted with teak floors, marble bathrooms and are furnished with colonial decor as well as all modern facilities.
