    About The Claridges

    • Close Panel

Located in the heart of the city, The Claridges has been a landmark in Lutyens Delhi since the 1950’s. Set on 3 acres of land, the hotel is a low-rise building with only three floors. It is within close proximity of the business district, ministries, diplomatic missions, shopping & cultural centres and historical landmarks.

We like this place because it has style and character. It’s not stuck in the 1950’s but uses some of the best gracious design features of that time, carefully updated to modernity.

Claridges has several different restaurants including Jade, a superb Chinese restaurant, and Sevilla with a Spanish and Italian theme. My personal favourite is Dhaba which is their North-Indian wayside cuisine restaurant, complete with a local truck embedded in the wall as part of the décor. Yes, they’ve brought a roadside café into a 5 star hotel!

The rooms at The Claridges are amongst the most spacious in Delhi and are a blend of the classic and contemporary. The hotel offers a wide choice of accommodation ranging from well-appointed spacious Deluxe Rooms to Luxury Suites, some with their own private terrace. The guest rooms overlook the swimming pool, landscaped gardens and the surrounding diplomatic avenue.

    Pricing guidelines for India

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £450 to £700 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). India combines well with Nepal.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
