About Purity

  • Close Panel

Purity is a lovely colonial-syle villa set on the shores of Lake Vembanad in the Kerala Backwaters. Formerly known as Casa Del Fauno, the property is known for its relaxed, European atmopshere. Guests can stroll through the lush spice gardens, take a swim in the pool, enjoy a refreshing drink on the veranda and enjoy a romantic lake-side dinner.

There are 4 rooms, all situated on the ground floor and 2 suites, one occupying the entire upper floor of the main villa and one set in a separate cottage with its own private garden, ideal for families. All rooms are furnished in a cool, contemporary style and have ample facilities including fans, air conditioning, tea and coffee making equipment, television and internet access. They also have distinctive artwork and antiques. Each room has a state-of-the-art shower room and some also have bathtubs. All rooms have a private terrace or veranda with views of the garden.

Indian, Oriental and Mediterranean cuisine is served at Purity. There are no set meal times, so guests are free to eat when, and where they wish, be this in the inner courtyard, the dining room, by the pool or lake shore or on their own veranda. Beer and wine are offered, but no spirits.

The main 'activity' at Purity is relaxation! The fragrant gardens, lovely lake views and sandy beach all add to the calm atmosphere. Excursions can be arranged to local attractions including Alleppey with its historic canals and sights, Mararikulam beach and local villages. Bicycles are available for further exploration. Pricing guidelines for India

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £450 to £700 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). India combines well with Nepal.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
