In the scenic Aruvali Hills, about 45 minutes drive from Udaipur, Devigarh is an 18th century fort-palace that has been meticulously restored into a luxurious resort with 39 suites. The rambling palace is a maze of terraces, courtyards and balconies and has traditional features such as turrets which contrast with the contemporary decor, based on gleaming white marble with colourful stonework and fabrics.

All suites are air conditioned, have ceiling fans and are feature a mixture of traditional materials and modern design with an individual theme. All have wonderful views of the valley, gardens, courtyards or fields.

The resort is equipped with its own swimming pool and gymnasium and is set in extensive gardens. There is a library/sitting room where guests can relax. We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £450 to £700 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). India combines well with Nepal.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.

  • Example tripPrice per person
  • 1 week Golden Triangle holidayBetween £800 and £2000
  • 2 weeks in northern IndiaFrom about £1500+
  • 2 weeks in southern IndiaBetween £2000 and £3000
  • 11 day wildlife safari (including tigers)From about £1250+

It really is the most wonderfully romantic place.  I sat and listened to people staying here talking about it and they all said they would come here for a week just to ‘fly and flop’.  The new GM (Vijay) is charming and growing into his role.  The food is superb.  The views are from heaven.

The new spa, run by L’Occitaine is doing really well.  The staff are learning fast and have excellent training in Singapore.  The doctor is excellent.  The spa lacks a relaxation room for before and after treatments but they are going to rectify this by putting an A/C tent out in the garden amongst the roses and cacti which will be fabulous.  They have added a double massage tent which can be open sided so natural breezes waft through and it looks directly out to the hills.  It’s fabulous.

The key thing with Devi Garh is that is it more than a 2 night destination.  It is so comfortable and has so much to do that clients must be allowed time to just enjoy being here – walking up the hills, visiting the lake, walking in the village and just chilling by the pool.  Make sure you stay for long enough!

It is 45 mins exactly from Udaipur airport.
