Sagitta

Sagitta was built in Sweden in 1961 and totally refurbished in 1999. She is a large and stable sailing ship with twin 180 hp engines giving a cruising speed of 8 knots. There are many open areas that offer panoramic views of the surroundings, an indoor and an outdoor dining area and a library/reading room. The ship has 10 comfortable air-conditioned cabins designed with one double lower and one single upper berth.

  1. Wednesday: Fly to Baltra. North Seymour
  2. Thursday: Santa Cruz: Charles Darwin Centre and El Chato 
  3. Friday: Espanola: Gardner Bay and Punta Suarez
  4. Saturday: Floreana: Punta Cormorant, Devil's Crown & Post Office Bay
  5. Sunday: Isabela: Punta Moreno and Elizabeth Bay
  6. Monday: Isabela: Urbina Bay. Fernandina: Punta Espinosa
  7. Tuesday: Santiago: Puerto Egas. Bartolome
  8. Wednesday: Santa Cruz: Turtle Cove. Baltra. Fly to Quito

Viewpoints

The Sagitta was fantastic in every way. The crew were tolerant of the most demanding guests and smiled (genuinely) all the time. The chef should consider himself among the Michelin stars given the consistent fabulous meals he produced.
