About La Pinta

  • Close Panel

La Pinta is a 207 foot motor yacht offering stylish yet informal accommodation cruising around the Galapagos Islands. There are 24 well appointed twin or double outside cabins which offer space not found on many of the yachts cruising the Galapagos Islands. 4 of these are slightly larger and have a sofa bed to accommodate a 3rd passenger, while 6 of the rooms are interconnecting, ideal for family groups. All cabins have individually controlled air conditioning and private bathroom. Other amenties include a 'phone, safe, wardrobe and connections for ipod, MP3 and MP4 players.

La Pinta has ample public areas on the main deck and the sun deck, including a dining room, salon-bar, observation lounge and natural history library. There is a conference room where the daily briefings from the naturalists guides are given. La Pinta features state of the art interpretation equipment. This includes communication between naturalists and guests via wireless receiver and earphone, and equipment for submarine interpretation.

Other onboard facilities include a boutique and gym. Outside there is a generous sundeck with a jacuzzi and a bar. La Pinta has snorkelling equipment, wet suits, a glass bottom boat and kayaks for passenger use. There is also a kid's club, 'Young Pirates', which arranges activities and special meals for children aged 7 to 12.

Pricing guidelines for Galapagos Islands

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights to Quito or Guayaquil will add from about £750 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). You will also need internal flights from the mainland to the islands which cost about £275 to £350. A Galapagos National Park tax is payable on arrival - currently $100. A few yachts also offer shorter or longer cruises. Charter cruises are also available. Please ask for details.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
