The Grace is the most luxurious of the small yachts cruising the Galapagos Islands and has a fascinating history. Although a newcomer to the islands, the Grace has been a luxury yacht under many famous owners, including Aristole Onassis who gave the ship as a wedding gift to Princess Grace of Monaco, after who the ship has been renamed. The Grace even participated in WWII where she captured a German Torpedo boat and is reported to have sunk a U-boat.
The Grace has been refitted to provide the best service in the Galapagos Islands. She has nine staterooms to accommodate 18 guests, all with private bathrooms, individual air conditioning, safe boxes and telephones. There are inside and al-fresco dining areas as well as a sun-deck, bar and jacuzzi. The Grace carries two naturalist guides, so there are just nine passengers with each guide on the landing visits making for an intimate and personal experience.
