Termas Papallacta Spa, Resort and Convention Center is located 40 miles east of Quito, at 3,300 metres elevation. Perched above a high Andean valley, Termas Papallacta is on the entrance route to the Ecuadorian Amazon jungle.
The Termas Papallacta resort, offers its visitors onsite health, recreation, adventure and rest. This includes bathing in the thermal springs, diverse treatments at the health spa, and accommodation in hotel rooms or cabins. Both options have thermal pools which are reserved exclusively for guests. There are two restaurants offering Ecuadorian and international cuisine, with many dishes using ingredients sourced from the Resorts’ organic garden.
The onsite spa offers a variety of treatments including hydrotherapy, finnish sauna and aromatherapy. Hiking opportunities abound, with a 625 acre private protected reserve, and the nearby Cayambe-Coca Ecological Reserve. On day 2 there will be an opportunity to hike the 'Water and Life Trail' through the Reserve. starting at over 4, 200 metres elevation and hiking down through the Reserve for about 6 hours, past Andean lakes, to the resort where a relaxing soak awaits! White water rafting and mountain biking is also available if arranged in advance for an additional supplement.
Day 3 is at leisure to relax, enjoy the thermal baths and spa, and perhaps explore some of the local trails.
