Located in the heart of the old city of Quito, just 50 metres or so from the Plaza de la Independencia and the Presidential Palace, the Patio Andaluz is a beautiful old colonial building that has been converted into a boutique hotel. This historic building is listed as a National Treasure.
It has 32 en-suite rooms including 11 spacious suites, which are simply and tastefully decorated in keeping with the colonial style of building. The restaurant is in the central colonnaded courtyard and serves Ecuadorian and international cuisine. There is also a Tapas Bar and a Cava-bar serving a range of drinks. The hotel also has a small sitting room/library.
The place is bright and airy and is an excellent choice for a base in the Old Town.
They have a written commitment to sustainable tourism, including recycling and working with their community.
