About Santa Lucia Hotel

  • Close Panel

Santa Lucia Hotel was built in 1859 as the family house of the provincial governor. It has been fully renovated over the last few years and retains its original features and charms now enhanced with modern amenities for its guests. All rooms are well equipped with TV, safe, minibar, hairdryer, internet access and en-suite bathroom.

Reception rooms are well proportioned with high ceilings and are furnished in traditional style and comfortable chairs and sofas, where guests can relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The hotel has a choice of restaurants. The Trattoria Novecento is based in the main courtyard, an elegant area, floodlit at night, making a perfect place for your evening meal. Italian dishes are the speciality here, served with a wide selection of wines. The cosy Bacus Cafe serves local specialities and each morning a delicious buffet breakfast is served here. Bar Moshi Moshi is a great place where guests can relax, sitting in the comfortable tub chairs and enjoying the friendly ambience. Cocktails, wines and spirits are served along with a range of tasty snacks.

The hotel is located just 50 metres from the central plaza in the Old Town district of Cuenca, making it an ideal location from which to explore the historic centre, widely thought to be one of Ecuador's most attractive cities.

Pricing guidelines for Ecuador

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £750 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Ecuador combines very well with Peru, but can also be linked with Brazil.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.

  • Example tripPrice per person
  • 2 weeks highlights of Ecuador’s mainland using good standard accommodationBetween £1800 and £2750
  • 2 week trip staying in top end haciendas and lodgesFrom around £3500+
  • 10 days Andes & rainforest holidayBetween £1200 and £1600
  • 16 days Andes & Galapagos (this can be very variable due to Galapagos yacht prices)From about £3200+
