The only member of the Relais and Chateaux Association in Ecuador, La Mirage Garden Hotel and Spa provides the most luxurious accommodation in the Otavalo region. Located in spacious gardens in the grounds of a 200 year old hacienda on the outskirts of the leatherworking town of Cotachi, about a 15 minute drive from Otavalo, the hotel has 23 beautifully furnished and individual rooms. La Mirage is famous for its spa treatments, and is equipped with a well equipped spa area with numerous rooms for many different types of treatments, and a large covered swimming pool. For those looking for more activity, the hotel can arrange mountain biking and horse riding, and there is great hiking in this area.

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £750 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Ecuador combines very well with Peru, but can also be linked with Brazil.
