Hotel Crespo was originally built as a large family mansion in 1860 and was restyled as a hotel in 1942, so has a great tradtion of welcoming guests through its doors. The 5 storey building stands on a steep hillside leading down to the Tomebamba River.
All guest rooms are individually decorated and there are single, double/twin and triple rooms. The ensuite bathrooms are spacious and have marble tiles. Room amenities include radio, TV, 'phone, minibar and heating. The large windows offer views down the hill to the river and beyond.
Guests enter La Casona Restaurant through the elegant art deco doors and can then sample the international fare on offer, complemented by a fine selection of wines. Fish and seafood are a speciality. The hotel is located about a 10-minute walk from Parc Calderon with its two cathedrals, so is well positioned for exploring the historic centre of the city.
