About Hotel Crespo

  • Close Panel

Hotel Crespo was originally built as a large family mansion in 1860 and was restyled as a hotel in 1942, so has a great tradtion of welcoming guests through its doors. The 5 storey building stands on a steep hillside leading down to the Tomebamba River.

All guest rooms are individually decorated and there are single, double/twin and triple rooms. The ensuite bathrooms are spacious and have marble tiles. Room amenities include radio, TV, 'phone, minibar and heating. The large windows offer views down the hill to the river and beyond.

Guests enter La Casona Restaurant through the elegant art deco doors and can then sample the international fare on offer, complemented by a fine selection of wines. Fish and seafood are a speciality. The restaurant also serves a large range of snacks and light meals including themed sandwiches and hamburgers plus fresh fruit juices. There is a separate bar, Bar El Alambique, where guests can relax and chat over a pre or post dinner drink. The hotel offers 1 hour's free internet access to all guests.

The hotel is located about a 10-minute walk from Parc Calderon with its two cathedrals, so is well positioned for exploring the historic centre of the city.

Pricing guidelines for Ecuador

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £750 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Ecuador combines very well with Peru, but can also be linked with Brazil.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.

  • Example tripPrice per person
  • 2 weeks highlights of Ecuador’s mainland using good standard accommodationBetween £1800 and £2750
  • 2 week trip staying in top end haciendas and lodgesFrom around £3500+
  • 10 days Andes & rainforest holidayBetween £1200 and £1600
  • 16 days Andes & Galapagos (this can be very variable due to Galapagos yacht prices)From about £3200+
