Hacienda Cusin was built at the beginning of the 17th century and has recently been converted to a country house inn offering a range of guest accommodation. Set in some 7 acres of lush gardens the hacienda offers a variety of activities including hiking, climbing, mountain biking and horse riding. It is also possible to visit local villages and, of course, the famous Otavalo market, which is about a 20 minute drive away.

Guests are accommodated in rooms, suite and garden cottages, all with ensuite bathroom, garden and mountain views. The hacienda has a dining room complete with fireplace, bar, library, garden reading room, games room and squash court.

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £750 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Ecuador combines very well with Peru, but can also be linked with Brazil.
