Solar dos Deuses is located in Sao Francisco square in the heart of the historical Pelourinho district of Salvador, ideal for exploring this UNESCO world heritage site. The accommodation is in spacious suites.

This beautifully restored 17th century manor building offers 7 guest suites, each individually decorated. All are air conditioned and have TV, telephone, radio, minibar and internet access. All have ensuite shower or bathroom.

There is a 24 hour reception service and staff are attentive and the overall atmosphere is friendly and informal. A generous buffet breakfast is served each morning and snacks are available during the day, on request. This is an excellent base from which to explore this fascinating city.

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £900 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Brazil combines with Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands due to scheduled flights, so, for example, it makes a good beach stop after Peru or Ecuador.
