Pousada Praia das Ondas is located on the shores of the South Atlantic Ocean and offers friendly service in an informal and relaxed setting, where guests immediately feel at home. The pousada has extensive grounds, with lush vegtation, vivid flowers and tall palm trees. Guests are welcome to stroll through the gardens at their leisure, enjoying the restful atmosphere, listening to the birdsong. Accommodation is in bungalows scattered throughout the grounds, and all suites are equipped with kingsize beds, ensuite bathroom, air conditiioning, satellite TV, minibar and safe. Each suite has a balcony or veranda with hammock and views of either the gardens or the ocean. The cottages are painted in bright, cheerful colours.
There is a swimming pool surrounded by a sundeck with chairs, tables, loungers and sunshades. There are also loungers and sunshades on the beach, which stretches for miles in each direction, and is perfect for relaxing walks. Swimming, surfing, beach volleyball and kitesurfing are popular activities. The pousada has surfboards and mountain bikes for guests to use. Boat trips can also be arranged, as well as visits to the neighbouring village of Itacimirim and the town of Praia do Forte just 5kms away, with its restaurants, bars and shops. The historic city of Salvador is only 50kms from the pousada, so easily reached for an exursion. Nearer to the pousada there is a lagoon and the Sapiranga Ecological Reserve in also nearby, with its Atlantic Rainforest and mangroves. There are several beach bars in the vicinity of the hotel, which serve cold drinks and fresh seafood snacks. The pousada has its own restaurant, serving both local specialities and international cuisine.
